Before I ooze about our surprisingly wonderful afternoon at the bishop museum I want to talk about something I'm passionate about.

Food.
and all the little details that go into it.

I just finsihed reading The Kind Diet and am so I happy I decided to buy it. It reinforced the reasons I'm a strict vegetarian and gave me lots of new information to think about. Not to mention the amazing looking recipes I can't wait to try!!

If you have time, please read the above yahoo article.
I truly think everyone needs to really take a step back and look at what is going on in our country. Not just the insane amount of chemicals that are injected into livestock and fish, but the completely inhumane treatment of the animals during their lives and when/how they are slaughtered.
On top of it all, the way these animals are kept is ruining our environment. Not just here at home but all over the world.
Do you research. Be educated. Know what your eating.

You are what you eat and you want to be a beautiful, healthy, happy being!

(if your looking for a fun read on these subjects grab a copy of Skinny Bitch. This quick read is what turned me for good. Thanks MOM!)

OOooooookkkkkkkaaayyyyyy
Off my soapbox on to fun things!

It has been raining like crazy today and Sy was getting cabin fever. It took me awhile to find something that was indoors for us to do. This island is limited!!

We originally thought we were just going to a dinosaur exhibit but it turned out to be a beautiful museum full of wonderful things. (am i vague or what?!)

He was very afraid since they were making all kinds of crazy noises and moving.
While clinging to me he says, "dinosaurs.......... eat sylas."

giant clam fountain in a little secret garden

stone sculpture. look close, there is a lizard in the middle of the big one!

We soon found out that there were tons of other awesome things to see there.

We had alot of fun. And although he is making a goofy face in this last picture, Sy had a really great time, too!

xoxo
