Today was wonderful.
Yep, after this rough weekend we made today count! Sy was back to his charming self so we sent him off to "school" for the afternoon. B and I went hiking over Waimea Bay. It was perfect, fun, and hard all at the same time.
We did the whole 5.5 miles in 2 hours! The hardest part was this steep old gravel road. No pictures of it, I was too busy huffing and puffing my way up!
(that blue is the ocean out there!)
Simply fabulous.
Everything was so green and lush. It smelled heavenly. So clean and rich. I don't even have a word to describe it. The birds were siging and the stream was bubbling along.
We kept crossing back and forth over this stream that eventually will turn in to Waimea Falls.
It is a shame it was so overcast cause you can see almost the entire coast from this vantage.
I loved the tiny wild orchids growing everywhere.
We had hoped to run into some smurfs. Who knows why I have a soft spot for mushrooms.
I also have to toot Sy's horn.
He has been daytime potty trained for a month now! No accidents and wearing his big boy underwear full time. I am so proud of him. He is just the smartest, cutest, coolest little kid. I'm so proud to be his mom.
(He thinks he is a super hero)
