This Saturday and Sunday have been simply fabulous...
I realized yesterday that it was Saturday (duh, right?) so we quickly got ready and left for the Waialua Farmers Market. Although, it was small, it was really great. I was very impressed at the quality of the produce. I got some amazing squash! (which is my favorite!! all of it!)
We also popped into the North Shore Soap Factory which is inside the old sugar mill. I instantly fell in love and left with a few goodies.
Plumeria is my favorite!
We came back home so we could lunch and let the booga nap before we popped back out to the Wahiawa Botanical Garden. Turns out this place is right in our backyard and pretty sweet. We will definatly do two things differently next time: 1. Wear bug spray and 2. wear tennis shoes.
Brandon and I were supposed to go out Saturday night on a date. I had signed Sy up for the parent's night out childcare but somehow managed to miss where it was I was supposed to take him. Thank goodness Brandon is calm in all situation because I was having a mini meltdown.
I had been looking forward to our dinner and a movie immensely. We decided to just drive to Mililani Town Square to order something to take home but ended up eating at a little taco joint instead. We sat outside and a live band was set up in the center of the square to play. The look on Sy's face when the band started up was absolutely priceless. Complete shock and joy. He loved it!
Sy and I were the only people dancing to the music but thats ok. Poor Brandon isn't a dancer or a public scene maker so I'm sure he was embarrased. He is a trooper though, thats why I love him.
Today has been just a pleasant. It is rainy and cool. We went to another farmers market but I was less impressed. We did manage to come away with some sea asparagus and are really pleased with how awesome it is!
We got the pumpkin at the farmers market and I stuffed it with onion, garlic, green, red, and orange bell peppers, carrots, brown rice, and vegetarian sausage. It was delish, even Brandon liked it!
It was a simply fabulous weekend. I loved it.
I just found your blog and wanted to say you have the cutest little family!
Yummy dinner! Nice to meet you
