The other day was the formal welcome home ceremony for Brandon's battalion. I only captured a video of the band since we were so far away and it is what Sy liked the best.
I've also been busy this week working on the house. Little things are coming together more and more. Our bedroom is almost done. I broke my sewing needle so I have to wait to finish once I get a new one. Today I finished the first chair to our dining table. Here is the before (left) and after (right). The table has its first coat of paint on and we've finished painting the china cabinet. I just have to finish the other 3 chairs, table, and put the doors on the china cabinet.
It feels so good having a home that actaully feels comfy and decorated to our tastes, not just a hodge podge of hand me down furniture! Complete pictures of the rooms will come as soon as they are done!
Now, in the spirit of being thankful since one of my favorite holidays is next week, I'll show what I am most thankful for right now.
My little family. Seriously, these guys have brought me lots of joy this week. From Sy using the potty all week (even out in public!!) to Brandon helping me staple fabric and the dog pooping in the yard instead of in the house, I can't ask for anything better.
