It was such a pretty day today that I had to be out in it. We so rarely get great days here that you just have to take advantage of it when you can. Sy was pretty fussy today so we spent quite a bit of time out on our patio. Now, there is nothing to look at out there except a 6ft privacy fence, so he lays on my lap and stares at the sky. It is really cute, he coos and talks to it. He also enjoys watching Kipi piddle around.

I was tired of feeling trapped in my patio so after Sy's afternoon nap, a bottle and green beans, we set out in the stroller for a stroll. I say stroll because I really was going as slow as possible just enjoying the sunshine. As I walked around our townhouses I noticed the PERFECT tree. It was big, provided lots of shade, and had perfect soft green grass beneath it. Sy has never just chilled on the ground outside so I wanted to see how he did. Just as I suspected he loved it.

Staring up at the wind blowing the leaves. He just layed and kicked and was so happy.

This was my attempt at making Kipi take a pic with Sy. He was too preoccupied watching some kids play in the street though.

This was Sylas' view from below. It truly was a great tree to just stare up at.

I couldn't help but lay there with him and stare up at the leaves too.

How often do you truly get to stop and just enjoy nature. Noone was making noise, the wind was blowing lightly, it was like the world had stopped and it was just Sylas and I enjoying the beautiful moment. We layed there for a good 45mins before it started to feel chilly. He probably would have stayed like that longer but I decided to go. B would be getting home soon.

I know I bitch about how much I hate WA, but there are a few things that I do truly love :

1. NO ROACHES - yes that is right. I am no longer plagued by my greatest enemy and biggest fear. HAHA!!

2. Not alot of bugs in general - we weren't bothered by anything while laying the grass. I checked Sy well, nothing bothered us.

3. Sun and warmth but no humidity - I do not miss the sticky.

Other than those three things, I hate WA. ;)

Being outside so much today must have helped because is is almost 8pm and Sy has been asleep for alittle over an hour. Outside will become part of our daily routine now (as long as the weather permits), because it makes the little booger happy. And Sylas' happiness is all that matters.
